HARVEST SONG

All the apples in the garden
Joyously we picked;
All the pears, every one,
Happily we gathered.

All the clusters of grapes, to the last,
In the vineyards we harvested;
The maize in the fields
Merrily we reaped.

Our beautiful threshing floor
With golden grain we heaped;
Our fields around
With furrows we ploughed.

Very soon the seeds
In hope we'll plant deep;
For the new year -
An order for good crops.
