THE AUTUMN WITHOUT HIM
The cool wind blows once again,
thus he sang as the battlefire passed...

oh how the times passed without him.
And it's autumn again.
A wreath of songs from words he loved:
on the Negev, the autumn night falls,
for friendship like this never
let us forget it.

This song was written for the 5th anniversary of the assasination of Israel's Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin.
Achinioam Nini and Gil Dor wrote the song to lyrics by one of Israel's foremost poets, Nathan Yonatan. The lyrics quote some of Rabin’s favourite songs, and it was performed for the first time on the prestigious weekly TV news show ‘Yoman Hashavua’ on Israel's Channel 1. - Information provided by David Jacobi.
