Yehuda Poliker - Ahava Al Tnai
New album 2010

Yehuda Poliker’s new album Ahava Al Tnai (Conditional Love) was released on March 17, 2010, after 10 years of not releasing any albums.

It is the first album on which Poliker has written the words as well as the music.

At the age of 60 and after losing both parents, Poliker opens up to write about his childhood in the shadow of the Holocaust. His childhood fears and the tough life of living with a father who couldn’t let go of his memories of the Holocaust and the family he lost. A father who lost control very often.

Both parents were Holocaust survivors who as Poliker says: “migrated the concentration camp from Salonika to Israel and didn’t stop talking about it ever”.

Before his parents passed away he recorded their stories and Greek songs they always sung for him when he was a child, and which they had learnt from their own parents.

This is an album which comes from the heart and penetrates straight into the heart.
